Chancellor - Rishi Sunak meets Aramis Rugby over lunch.
It was an honour for our CEO and Sales Director to be invited to have lunch with the Chancellor and to find him taking keen interest in Aramis Rugby products!
Aramis Rugby were part of select business leaders invited to a private lunch with the Chancellor at the Landmark Theatre in Ilfracombe. It was a great meeting wherein he outlined his vision and goals for the economic trajectory and for us to highlight the areas where the government could provide further assistance to sports businesses.

Aramis Rugby was invited to meet with the Chancellor, Rishi Sunak, over a private lunch when he visited North Devon recently.
CEO of Aramis Rugby, Vikas Mahajan said “ It was an honour to have been specially invited to meet with the Chancellor and to know that Westminster has also acknowledged the achievements and potential of a local business based in South Molton. It was great to have a frank discussion with the Chancellor wherein I laid out the challenges faced by small businesses of North Devon in terms of labour shortages, the housing situation for new jobs created, red-tapeism for export and the assistance needed by small rural-based businesses to compete on an International Stage. He was very understanding and assured his continuing support and further attention to North Devon via the National Levelling up strategy”.
Aramis Rugby, based in South Molton is a world leader in rugby equipment and is renowned for its specialist digital scrum machines and innovative rugby products. Elaborating further about the meeting, Vikas Mahajan said “It was a proud moment to be able to project our hometown of South Molton to national leaders and to use achievements of Aramis as a way to ask the Chancellor for more resources to be allocated to businesses based in North Devon. He was very impressed by what a North Devon business has achieved and his assurances going forward were very encouraging. I also mentioned to him the help and efforts made by North Devon Council to assist local businesses and it was a pleasure to find him, reaching across party politics lines and appreciating their work too. For me it was a very positive meeting and I hope it will help bring some much needed assistance to businesses based in North Devon”.
